Child & Adolescent Psychological Assessments across Geelong & the Surf Coast

Clarity. Compassion. Confidence.

Insight Collective provides thoughtful, neuroaffirming, and evidence-based assessments that help children and adolescents understand their strengths, identity, and learning profile, with clear recommendations for home and school.

We offer ADHD, autism, cognitive, educational, and comprehensive assessments, helping families better understand strengths, needs, and next steps.

Our Approach

At Insight Collective, we focus exclusively on child and adolescent assessment. This means each young person receives a thoughtful, compassionate, and highly specialised process - one that is never rushed and never one-size-fits-all. Our approach is warm, strengths-based, and person-centred, with a strong emphasis on helping assessments feel supportive and validating, rather than clinical or intimidating.

We see assessment as an opportunity not only to understand areas of difficulty, but also to recognise strengths, learning styles, and individual needs. By bringing together careful clinical insight with a compassionate and collaborative approach, we aim to provide families with meaningful recommendations, a deeper understanding, and a clearer sense of the next steps.

Our assessment approach is grounded in:

  • Stacked brown stones arranged from smallest at the top to largest at the bottom.

    Neurodiversity-affirming practice

  • Illustration of a brown armchair with a high back and wide seat.

    Strengths-focused language

  • Two terracotta-colored bowls stacked on top of each other

Collaborative conversations with parents, schools, and young people

  • Simple illustration of a smiling face using a brown circle for the head, with black curved lines for the eyes and mouth, and a large brown U-shape for the chin or jawline.

Clear, practical recommendations that create real change.

Child and adolescent assessment support in Geelong

Our goal is for young people and their families to leave the process feeling understood, supported, and empowered.

We take time to build rapport, explain tasks in an age-appropriate way, and move at a pace that feels manageable. Many young people tell us the assessment feels more like a series of activities than a test.
